Fiscal Sponsorship
As a fiscal sponsor, GSDC acts as an umbrella organization offering 501(c)(3) status to existing or new community groups, referred to as either projects or affiliates.
Benefits to being a sponsored group include the following:
Ability to solicit tax-deductible donations, host fundraisers and events, apply for and offer grants, and much more (projects and affiliates)
Financial oversight to confirm adherence to 501(c)(3) guidelines (affiliates)
